GUEST SPEAKERS
Chris Myers: Visualising the Impact of Touch with Ultrasound
Ever wondered what’s really happening beneath the skin when you apply touch?
In this live demo, Chris Myers will use ultrasound to open a window into the body’s dynamic anatomy, showing the real-time effects of manual therapy in action.
- Are we really influencing what we think we are?
- What changes can we actually see happening beneath the surface?
By comparing perception with reality, this session will challenge assumptions, deepen understanding, and give manual therapists greater awareness, precision, and confidence in their practice.
About Chris
Chris is a highly experienced and specialised physiotherapist in musculoskeletal medicine and sports injuries. He has over 20 years’ experience of working in elite sport, private practice and in the NHS. He currently splits his time between Complete Physio, elite sport and lecturing.
Chris is one of the few physiotherapists in the country to be dual trained in musculoskeletal sonography and uses diagnostic ultrasound to diagnose muscle, ligament, tendon, joint and nerve problems. He also uses ultrasound to carry out guided joint and soft tissue injections for pain relief.

Daniel Hope: From the Stage to the Studio! How to Build a Career in Manual Therapy
Our wonderful graduate Daniel Hope will be joining us to share his journey from the world of musical theatre to life as a massage therapist. He now runs a growing business and has built an active online presence, and he’ll be talking honestly about what worked, what didn’t, and the lessons he’s picked up along the way — from switching careers to finding confidence in building a client base.
Daniel will also explore how the therapy industry has changed in just a few years, especially the rise of social media as a key tool for advertising. Many therapists feel nervous about putting themselves out there online, so he’ll share how he’s approached it, the challenges he’s faced, and why it’s worth doing.
About Daniel
Daniel Hope began his career in dance and West End theatre, where he discovered his passion for massage and helping others feel their best. Since qualifying with NLSSM in 2016, he has built a diverse career, expanding into Dry Cupping, Deep Tissue, Pregnancy Massage, and Personal Training to deepen his understanding of the body.
He has worked with performers, top fitness brands, the Royal Household Cavalry Regiment, and office workers, as well as teaching self-massage to hundreds of older adults during the pandemic. Today, Daniel divides his time between four London clinics and continues to grow his skills and knowledge as a therapist.
