Elizabeth Martin

I’m Elizabeth, a massage and wellness therapist based in Leith, Edinburgh. My route into this work wasn’t a straight one. I come from an art and design background, and found my way into massage almost by accident. What I discovered was something I hadn’t expected. A sense of purpose I hadn’t felt before, and I haven’t looked back since.

I work from a private home clinic in Edinburgh, and alongside that I’m part of a complementary therapy team in a hospital environment, working with patients in oncology and palliative care. That experience shapes everything about how I approach my work. The attentiveness, adaptability, and the understanding that no two people, and no two sessions, are ever quite the same.

My practice is built around people navigating complex health journeys. Those who have often been turned away elsewhere or told that massage isn’t suitable for them. I hold an oncology massage qualification alongside training in sports and remedial soft tissue therapy, reflexology, and aromatherapy. Rather than offering a fixed menu of treatments, I draw from across all of that training to put together a session that makes sense for the person in front of me on that particular day. Combining techniques and modalities in a way that’s responsive to what the body actually needs in that moment.
