Maria originally qualified in hotel and catering and pursued a career in hotel leisure and various courses in management and leadership, but all the while her passion was in sports performance and movement. She enhanced her knowledge by qualifying as a weights and fitness instructor and general gymnastics coach back in the early 90's, while working full time continued to coach as a hobby and still does.

Over the years, Maria's talents matured through her experiences in running and gymnastics, as a competitor and coach, and playing badminton for middlesex and recently decided to make the transition to turn her passion in to her livelihood, as that is where her heart really is. The most natural progression was in assisting in the injury recovery stages, but better still promoting preventative measures, so in March 2005 Maria qualified as a Sports and Remedial Massage Practitioner at LSSM, and has caught the bug! Now working on building a client portfolio to set up her own clinic.

Maria's hobbies are as a volunteer at London YMCA as their running coach twice weekly for the past 16 years, traveling, cycling, badminton, tennis and reading.
