John worked for British Telecom for more years than he cares to remember. When new technology gave him a chance to take voluntary redundancy he gratefully took the money and started training with the LSSM the following week.

Qualifying in 1993, sports massage has been the career ever since and for the last 8 years this has incuded being a tutor. He has been involved in a variety of sports both as a competitor, coach and instructor for more than thirty years.

His current interest is Duathlon (a combination of cycling and running), at present in his age group he is ranked number one in Great Britain and number twelve in the world.
