Visceral Listening Techniques

Synopsis: LT is designed to reinforce powerful "listening" skills

Course Highlights:

  • Discover new listening skills (palpation procedure) that helps guide you to the proper manipulation site. 
  • Learn to interpret the information the body is offering regarding imbalances and dysfunctions.
  • Explore through listening how to determine which body structures are involved, and identify the best approach for treatment results.
  • Practice listening to the body systems, as they respond to your treatments.
  • Learn to identify the correct approach and amount of force when working on different parts of the body and with different clients. 

Prerequisite: VM1 (Visceral Manipulation), or VM1A, or NM1 (Neuromeningeal Manipulation), or CSL (CranSacral Therapy 1), or LDTI (Lymph Drainage Therapy 1) or ML1 (Mechanical Link 1).  

 

ABOUT THE TUTOR

Annabel is a Registered Shiatsu Practitioner in the province of British Columbia. She has been in private practice in Vancouver since 1990. Annabel continued her education through courses in Visceral Manipulation, Nerve Manipulation, CranioSacral Therapy, Mechanical Link, and Lymphatic Drainage Therapy. Currently she is a Certified Instructor for the following Barral Institute classes: VM1, VM2, VM4, and LT (Listening techniques). In addition she conducts a monthly Study Group at Royal Columbia Hospital, open to all VM alumni who wish to enhance their VM skills and knowledge.
