Myofascial Kinesiology Taping-Advanced

This course consists of advanced application techniques and concepts, building on the material learned in the Foundation Course, allowing attendees to learn how to approach and treat many complex clinical scenarios in the fields of traumatology, orthopedics, lymphology; neurology and pain management for rehab, injury prevention and to enhance/ facilitate motion and improve muscle function, motor patterning and joint correction techniques.

The highlights will be advanced myofasial release and fascia correction techniques. These advanced techniques will kill pain and facilitate motion right after application, mostly to 90-100%. As studies show, once applied a few times, the tape applications have long lasting effects.
The applications do not come in a set pattern. Due to the specific dysfunctions and fascia tension of the patient the screening and the applications become as individual as possible to get optimum results.
Finally, the fascia techniques according to our osteopathy concept and Anatomy Trains concept make the difference. To take part one has to complete the foundation course first.

About the Tutor

Jeremy Parker graduated from the University of South Australia in 1994 with a BSc in Physiotherapy.  He then moved to Tasmania and worked in a regional hospital supplying the north west of the state.  His time there saw him working in remote and rural areas, driving through mountains, coastal areas and even flying to work to see his patients on a small island once a week.  In 1999 whilst still in Tassie, Jeremy moved into private practice and also worked with various sports teams, including Aussie rules football and state league netball.  By 2006 he had decided to make the move to London and joined Six Physio (then Sports and Spinal Clinic) at their Harley St clinic.  Most recently he has taken on the Clinic Director role at Six Physio's newest clinic in Monument which opened in March 2011.

Jeremy also teaches Kinesiology Taping courses throughout the UK (that funny coloured tape that you see on lots of the sports stars these days), and has a strong interest in the treatment of headaches.

In his spare time he enjoys travelling, photography and watching sports as he is to old and injured to take part any more.
