Sports and Remedial Massage Therapy with Cassandra Gramozi or Susan Findlay

£40 per hour (Cassandra), £80 per hour (Susan)

Today there is a common definition that has emerged from the name itself, “sports massage”, which is the application of a variety of soft tissue techniques to maximize performance of an athlete. This is partially true, but the manner in which we get our results will often include remedial techniques such as soft tissue release or muscle energy techniques. Furthermore it can also be argued that the same techniques and approaches we use in sports massage are not exclusive but can be applied to those who do not do any sport or just have a passing interest in activity and/or movement. In essence Sport and Remedial Massage is about working with soft tissue in order to restore it to its' optimal condition.

Osteopathy with Kirstie Cousins

£50 per hour

Osteopathy is an approach to healthcare that emphasizes the role of the musculoskeletal system in health and disease. In most countries, osteopathy has been considered a form of complementary medicine, emphasizing a holistic approach and the skilled use of a range of manual and physical treatment interventions in the prevention and treatment of disease. In practice, this most commonly relates to musculoskeletal problems such as back and neck pain. Osteopathic principles teach that treatment of the musculoskeletal system (bones, muscles and joints) facilitates the recuperative powers of the body.
